Fantastic
This was a fantastic tour, and it was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. We got to see some amazing things, and the tour company struck just the right balance between our time on a bus and our time walking around outside and seeing some of the Big Island’s best sites. It was also completely seamless to hop a quick flight from Honolulu to the big Island. The tour company arrange the flights once we booked the tour, and there were absolutely no snags. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

A must while in HI
We were here in March of 2022. Our tour date was March 16, 2022, Our guide was excellent. Our guide was also a trainer with this company. He was from the island and was able to deliver so much history on our tour. His personality was electric, wealth of knowledge was infinite. This tour was soooooo power packed. Just when I thought the NEXT STOP couldn’t be any better than the previous …. We get shocked. You MUST DO THIS TOUR!!! It is worth EVERY DOLLAR. Our guide took us to all of the hidden treasures. Our lunch at the famous Punalu’u Bake Shop, where they have various Malasada’s for purchase and bread loaves was above and beyond. The Lava tube is a bucket list and MUST SEE experience and seeing the craters. You really get perspective on the power of a volcano. Nature and it’s fury!!! No guarantee that the volcano will be active. That is up to nature. Still breathtaking and gives insight into the heart of a volcano. Our guide juggled driving, managing time and he crammed every minute up to the last sec. We got to the airport at the last min, but it was worth it. Made our flight and have endless memories forever. We will go back. NOTE: If it is not clear in the description you will be contacted by the tour company the week before your excursion, for the Inter Island flight to get the airport you are departing from and they will book your round trip ticket to Oahu. This cost is included in the $549.99. I have to give a shout out to the company that runs this tour, Hi Island Experiences, LLC. When we first booked and needed to confirm the details the week we were flying out, get clarity on the inter island flight and how it worked, and weren’t getting a call back, we contacted Viator. The owner of Hi island experiences contacted us himself. It’s a disconnect between what the owner can see or has access to through Viators site due to privacy. Not the tour company’s fault. It was as simple as information needed to be updated so owner could make an adjustment and have access to respond to a customer. It you chat Viator and don’t get a satisfactory answer, call them. We have booked all our excursions through them and have not been disappointed. Also I saw recently they are on Rakuten, and you can earn 6% cash back as of July 18,2022.

Absolutely fantastic day
Wonderful experience. Clean bus. Mel was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job of educating us, making it fun, and age. His knowledge and passion for the islands is evident in the knowledge he shares via stories and histories. Totally engaging and I highly recommend.

Must See!
Melvin was an amazing tour guide! We had so much fun seeing all of the breathtaking sights that the Big Island has to offer including black sand beaches, volcano national park, rainbow falls, lava tube, and more! Mel goes above and beyond to make the experience special and informative, telling all of the history of the island and it’s people. Would highly recommend!!

Outstanding tour
Outstanding tour led by Mel who was extremely knowledgeable about volcanoes and Hawaiian culture. Every part of the trip flowed smoothly and was informative and enjoyable.
